It’s Louis’ first day, well… second first day, at uni. It was a great summer with his best friend and their famous boyfriends, but now he’s back at university and he isn’t so sure now that this was a good idea. He never really liked school anyway, and now that he has to go it alone, without Niall and without Harry, well, it doesn’t seem too fun, especially since One Direction plans to ship off on their World Tour soon. And let’s not forget his new roomie who is a nosey twat who seems hell bent on figuring out why Louis’ name is so familiar to him. How is he supposed to balance school and his secret relationship with 1/3 of the current hottest boy band? Or, more importantly, can he?

It makes me so angry
When people in general shit on One Direction for being a boy band because let’s face it, you don’t have to like their music, okay? But you sure as hell should respect that they work to have the career they dreamed of. Getting a break from a TV show doesn’t mean instant success and does not automatically mean they get everything handed to them on a silver platter.
But what makes me even angrier? When ARTISTS do that to other artists! They should know as well as anyone how hard it is to break into the industry and that some people get fucking lucky. To quote a band I interviewed, who is often shit on because they got their start through Disney’s NBT, “there are really talented musicians out there that never get a break but there are definitely a lot of people that get really easy jumps to overnight success.” Some people just get lucky and that’s ALL it is. And for some indie asshole to further affirm the “indie is cooler than pop” mindset by saying what he did just pisses me right the fuck off. And to make it worse, 1D isn’t calling themselves rockstars or saying they’re the next Beatles so how dare you “slag them off” (to quote our dear Tommo) for something they don’t control. Rip apart the media, because they’re the ones who draw the comparisons.
And while I’m on the topic of media, these journalists who intentionally go into these interviews looking to start a fued, because yes they do intentionally go into these interviews with these questions in mind to get quotes just like this, need to sit down and worry about asking their interviews about something pertinent to their lives. Sorry I don’t think starting drama is worth it. It’s just yet another case of why journalists like me get a bad name from journalists like them.
I’m really disappointed right now. I actually liked Jake Bugg.

So a lot of people have been on their Taylor Swift bashing high horse since The Grammys— well, since a while now but extra since The Grammys— and I’d be a hypocrite and a liar if I said I didn’t understand why. What she did was immature, and honestly if she wanted to really send out a big “Fuck You,” she would have been better off just giving an awesome ass performance and not shining any spotlight on anyone but herself. But that isn’t what this post is about, because while I get it, and have been known to be one to NOT take TSwizzle’s side, I think that the hate the girl is getting is getting a touch out of control and that people are purposefully turning a blind eye to things just to make her out to be any even worse person. So with that being said, let me begin.
